Other times, seeing colors while meditating can be a sign from your spirit guides or a signal that you’ve connected to the sensory realm.

Indigo is the third eye chakra color, and people sometimes confuse it with purple. But indigo is a bit bluer, and seeing it usually relates to deep concentration.
Yellow is the color most associated with intellect. If you see it during meditation, it could mean that your soul is working on solving a problem or enhancing your cognitive abilities.
If the yellow is a bright hue, that signals the opening of your mind to new ideas.
Black can be a difficult color to interpret when meditating. Sometimes it means absolutely nothing. Other times it serves as a protection force.

The body houses seven main chakras, and each has a color and several energetic attachments. When you focus on a chakra’s color, it stimulates that center. The colors for each of the seven main chakras are:
- Root chakra — red
- Sacral chakra — orange
- Solar plexus chakra — yellow
- Heart chakra — green
- Throat chakra — blue
- Third eye chakra — indigo
- Crown chakra — purple
Step Two: Meditate on a Color
Before meditating, scan your thoughts and body. Is a relationship issue plaguing you? If so, focus on the red of the root chakra. Are you having difficulty owning your power?
