We all have certain traits we are proud of, and then there are others we do not like people to see.
Some of these traits can embarrass or trigger us.
So, we try to hide them from ourselves and others.
These are the parts referred to as shadow self.
Accepting our shadow selves can be difficult.
Most people try to repress those hidden parts.
